All of these things we hope to do at some point, but there’s so much to do for new features while also maintaining and growing the course library you get. We’re an independent, bootstrapped company that listens to you.

If you want things to take higher priority or have more ideas — please let us know!

  1. For me the most important features that are missing are:
    1. close caption and transcript of the videos and workshops (for non English speaking, some nuances and local language might scape the understanding and for that reason this is the number one importance).

    2. The possibility to have off-line view. For people like me who don’t have in high-speed internet area and/or are always on the goal and use a lot internet stick that is not optimal to watch videos. I have a lot of trouble sometimes to watch the videos, as I have to click on the play, pause the video and watch is to download for a while to be able to stream it.

    • Renata,

      1) Yes, close captioning is definitely something we’re planning to do. The cost is a lot though to transcribe a 100hr+ library (we’ve received quotes anywhere from $15-30k+ to do accurate transcriptions on the library). It’s mostly a matter of money right now since we’re bootstrapped…but we’ll definitely get to it sometime.

      2) Since the platform is subscription-based we don’t offer direct downloads, but there are two offline features in the survey:

      – “more offline apps” — for instance, the iPad app we are releasing in the next week or two will handle offline viewing. Other companies have apps to cache the videos offline on many platforms.

      – credit system to own the courses for life (including DRM-free download). You would gain credits monthly with your subscription that you can then spend on downloads to own courses for life.

      – I haven’t mentioned in the survey we might allow to purchase individual courses and get downloads that way…which we hope to do that in the future. But the truth is having one-time payments isn’t a sustainable business from everyone who I talk to who does it vs recurring. We want to build a sustainable business that lasts, so we do subscription.

You may know that we do offer DRM-free downloads for any of the live workshops you’ve attended.

Offline is a tough subject and something that we’ve thought about but haven’t landed on any conclusions. Paying $39 to download our entire library and then unsubscribing isn’t sustainable.

  2. Hi Marc,

I voted for ‘Detailed viewing history and analytics (recent watched, course progress, viewing stats…)’ above as well, but it’d be awesome to have even a simple personal tracking view (without the analytics) as the main view, showing currently enrolled course/s and your current progress, and maybe a tab or link to the list of completed courses).

Not super important, but it’d be nice to be able to start exactly where one left off in the course (say mid-way through video 6) like youtube videos.

    Thanks in advance for consideration.

    • Moon,

That is definitely on the roadmap for the very near future! We should have something out in the next few weeks and keep improving it as we go.
